Polidori Press was founded as a premiere voice for dark literary horror. We explore the darkest recesses of the psyche, amplifying the things that go bump in the night and make your blood run colder. We were established by writers, for writers.
…his blood would run cold, whilst he attempted to laugh her out of such idle and horrible fantasies…”
Polidori Press is named after John William Polidori (1795-1821), widely recognized as the author of the first vampire story in English. His work, The Vampyre, was published in 1819 and erroneously credited to Lord Byron. The horror genre owes much to a fateful night between Polidori, Lord Byron, and Mary Shelley, which brought monsters to us all.
